It’s kind of funny, I’m much more nervous about asking mine and Lindsey’s parents than I am of asking Lindsey herself! And surprisingly, I think I’m less nervous about asking her parents than mine!! See, my parents are older. They feel strongly about waiting till I’m older to get married. However, Lindsey’s parents are younger. They got married at a young age. I know that her parents will understand and accept it easier than mine will. I think the hardest thing about asking Lindsey’s parents is setting up the meeting with them. Should I call in advance or just show up to their house? Haha I don’t really know. I think in this case I might just wing it and make a quick decision when the opportunity arises! As for my parents, I just need to remind them that we have been dating for 6 YEARS!!! I know we were young when we first started dating, but that’s a long time!
I’m probably just overreacting as I usually do. Hopefully I’ll get the courage to get all this done soon. Time is running out! Wish me luck!

Another one of the great traditions in weddings is cutting the cake. The couple cuts the cake and gracefully feeds each other a piece. Thereafter, the rest of the cake is cut and fed to the guests. Since the cake cutting tradition is a big part of a wedding reception, you should spend time finding a beautiful Wedding Cake Serving Set.
Wedding Cake Serving Sets typically contain a cake cutting knife and a server. These wedding serving sets usually have decorative handles with bows, rhinestones, or engraved designs and are usually made from a quality silver metal. As usual, when buying something for your wedding, choose something you can enjoy the rest of your lives because you will be saving the set as a keepsake after you are married!

If you plan on having a garter tossing ceremony, you should plan on having 2 garters- one to throw and one to keep. You can go ahead and buy 2 of the same garter, but this could get expensive if the garter is very fancy. You can also buy 2 different types of bridal garters, one that is less decorative to throw and the other to keep. However, an even better way to buy 2 garters is to buy a Keep/Toss Bridal Garter Set.
Keep/Toss Bridal Garter Sets typically contain 2 garters with slight differences. The toss garter is usually less decorative and has shorter lace. With shorter lace and less decorations, the toss garter is more comfortable to wear. The keepsake garter has longer lace and sometimes contains more decorations, such as pearls.

I don’t really know who decided you need to bring the rings out on a pillow, but I like it! It is really a unique tradition. Think about it, a ring probably will never be served to you on a pillow ever again! I know it may seem insignificant to you, but why not embrace it?! And why not choose a quality wedding ring pillow!
Choosing the wedding ring pillow should be easy. First off, you want to make sure it matches your wedding theme. OK that was a given, but you also need to remember that you will be saving the ring pillow as a keepsake. Be sure to find a quality pillow with a design you really enjoy- one that will make you happy and bring you back to that special day!

The procession to the alter starts with the flower girl. The flower girl typically walks in front of the bride during the procession, of course spreading flower petals in the bride’s path. In essence, the flower girl is really the leader of the procession. Therefore, your flower girl should be equipped with a gorgeous Wedding Flower Basket!
The wedding flower basket should stay within the same theme of the whole wedding. If you are having a fun wedding, get a fun wedding basket with fun flowers. For a more formal wedding, why not try a wedding basket covered with pearl satin sheets and pearl accents? Whatever choice you make, be sure it fits in your wedding theme!

Buying a great engagement ring is very important to making your soon-to-be fiancé very happy! I’ve done quite a bit of research and found many things I did not know about buying an engagement ring. The best explanations I found were on Blue Nile’s Engagement Ring Guide. That website helped me learn so much. They also have a great selection of settings and diamonds at great prices.
They have the website set up so you can choose a setting and the diamonds you want in the ring! You can hold your customized ring in your shopping cart or send yourself an email containing the specifications and a link to their site with your ring saved. I must have customized 20 rings with all different settings before I found one that was in my price range and had everything I wanted in it. So it is nice to have been able to save those customized rings in my email.
Anyway, now that I have the ring and I’ve come up with how I’m going to ask her, I need to ask her parents and my parents! Just a little nervous!!!!!!! wish me luck!

The last detail of any marriage is to thank those who joined you. All your guests expect to receive a thank you card in the mail soon after the wedding. You can order thank you cards with a message preprinted in them, so all you need to do is sign your names. Sounds easy enough, but most guests anticipate the card to be personalized towards them.
So why not get a card with a short message printed in it? That’s one less sentence you need to write. Not a bad idea if you have the money to spend on expensive customization costs. If you want to get a thank you card customized, you might as well customize the entire thing- you choose exactly how you want the entire card to look.
I know it sounds old fashioned, but the best way to send out your thank you cards is to simply purchase wedding thank you cards that are blank on the inside and contain a simple design on the front. Though this may take more time, it forces you to personalize each message to your recipients and it also saves you a substantial amount of money!

Whether you choose to have a garter throwing ceremony or simply want to wear one with your wedding gown, a bridal garter is an important part to any wedding reception. The garter throwing ceremony is just like the bouquet throwing ceremony except the groom takes the garter off his bride and throws it to a group of unmarried men. It is said that the groom is supposed to put the garter on the woman who caught the bouquet, but that is rarely practiced nowadays.
If you plan on having the garter tossing ceremony, you should plan on buying 2 bridal garters or a Keep/Toss Bridal Garter set so you have a garter to toss and a garter as a keepsake.

The wedding cake is a huge part of any wedding. Almost all weddings have a cake that is big, beautiful, and tasty! This wedding cake is always topped off with a decoration or Wedding Cake Top. Others would prefer a picture of themselves in a beautiful cake top frame. The options really are endless since it is YOUR wedding.
Whatever type of wedding cake top you choose, be sure to remember that the wedding cake top is something couples typically save and treasure, so choose something that will remind you of your wedding’s beauty and make you smile!

Wedding Invitations are the first impression you will have on your guests. It’s also one of the first things you need to do when preparing for a marriage.
You have many options when choosing invitations for your wedding. If you like designing, you can order the blank invitation stock and create your own invitations. This almost guarantees saving you money, but it does take some extra time. You can also have your designed invitations printed by a professional printer. This will most likely cost you extra, but you will get professional looking invitations!
There are 2 more options you have for creating your invitations. These 2 options require much less time and aggravation. First, you can have invitations created for you with a custom message. These invitations are usually already designed. All you need to do is provide the information for the event. This option typically cost more money. The last option is to order wedding invitations that you can simply fill in yourself. These invitations typically have the common information lines such as who it is for, where it is, what time it starts at, when to RSVP by, etc. In my opinion, this is the quickest, cheapest, and least aggravating approach for your wedding invitations!
