The wedding cake is a huge part of any wedding. Almost all weddings have a cake that is big, beautiful, and tasty! This wedding cake is always topped off with a decoration or Wedding Cake Top. Remember, the wedding cake top is something couples typically save and treasure, so choose something that will remind you of your wedding’s beauty and make you smile!
There are many options the couple has when choosing a wedding cake top. The classic wedding cake top is 2 figurines representing the married couple. However, this is your wedding and you can choose whatever you like! Some choose cake tops shaped as things that make them happy, such as a heart. Others would prefer a picture of themselves in a beautiful cake top frame. The options really are endless since it is YOUR wedding.
Whatever type of wedding cake top you choose, be sure to remember that the wedding cake top is something couples typically save and treasure, so choose something that will remind you of your wedding’s beauty and make you smile!

Wedding Invitations are the first impression you will have on your guests. It’s also one of the first things you need to do when preparing for a marriage.
You have many options when choosing invitations for your wedding. If you like designing, you can order the blank invitation stock and create your own invitations. This almost guarantees saving you money, but it does take some extra time. You can also have your designed invitations printed by a professional printer. This will most likely cost you extra, but you will get professional looking invitations!
There are 2 more options you have for creating your invitations. These 2 options require much less time and aggravation. First, you can have invitations created for you with a custom message. These invitations are usually already designed. All you need to do is provide the information for the event. This option typically cost more money. The last option is to order wedding invitations that you can simply fill in yourself. These invitations typically have the common information lines such as who it is for, where it is, what time it starts at, when to RSVP by, etc. In my opinion, this is the quickest, cheapest, and least aggravating approach for your wedding invitations!

So as I mentioned in my last post. I have a tentative plan in my head as to what I believe I need to do to make this whole wedding situation work. This plan really just has to do with the engagement part right now because I really don’t know what’s after that, but I can’t wait to find out! So here goes.
- I need to buy a ring
- I need to plan how I want to ask her
- I need to talk to my parents
- I need to talk to her parents
- I need to talk to my friends
- I need to set up for the engagement
- I need to actually go through with the engagement!
- She has to say yes :-\
Like I said, anything after the engagement seems too far in advance for me. For now, I need to work on these 8 steps, starting with the ring buying process. Check my next post to listen to what I learned from that!

Themes are basically separate unique entities coming together and working in harmony. Isn’t that what marriage is? Two separate, unique people coming together into one family?
Any design expert will tell you that a theme can make or break a Wedding ceremony. Great wedding themes should represent the idea of coming together and working in harmony. Themes typically contain common variables, whether it is matching colors, patterns, or accessories like bows or diamonds. In the end, all parts, though unique in their own way, work together to make a common theme.
Not having a wedding theme can lead to distractions of your guests. Wouldn’t you notice if the ring bearer’s pillow and the flower girl’s basket were different colors? Although not every single person would notice, it is certain that at least a few would notice. This may distract them from what is happening at the altar.
A Wedding Collection Set is a simple way to keep a consistent theme throughout the wedding ceremony. Wedding Collection sets typically include unity candles, flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillows, guest books, pen sets, toasting flutes, and serving sets. Though the wedding collection sets may not contain everything you want, they are still a great way to get started on your wedding theme!

6 years is quite a bit of time to be with one person and not be engaged or married yet, don’t you agree? Well, that’s how my situation looks right now. I’m 22 years old, but I’ve been with my girlfriend, Lindsey, since high school. We’ve had a few rough times through high school and college where we have broken it off for a few months, but we always manage to end up back with each other, more in love. For the past few years, we have been really steady and are happier than ever.
As I mentioned, I am 22 years old. I just graduated from college in the spring and am now working full time. Lindsey is a senior in college and she will graduate in may 2010. Now that I am out of college and she is close enough, it’s about time to start thinking about the steps I need to take to further the relationship.
I’ve already decided I want to marry this woman and I am fully committed to this decision. I have a tentative plan up in my brain for how I think everything should work. I plan on working through this plan in the next year and of course, informing you of my experiences. Hopefully, this will help you with your journey of marriage!
Check back soon for my tentative plan!
